Release Notes (September 2023)

By Corey

Back to school? Na, back to work. Some big updates for y’all!!

Event Type Defaults

You can now configure timelines, playlists (including import from Spotify), planning forms, and notes that are pre-populated when new events are created:

Roles and Permissions

We’re thrilled to announce one of the most requested features — customizable roles and permissions. You can now set custom roles for clients, staff, managers, venues, other vendors, your accountant, your dog, or literally anyone else. This fine-grained control is extremely powerful and allows you to fully customize your users’ experiences:

Event Meta Fields

You can now store custom data within events. This data can be used just like any other field within documents, planning forms, automations, reports and more:

Event Financials

We’ve upgraded the event financials panel to be simplified, yet have more relevant information:

Other notable features:

  • API is now available
  • You can now trigger automations from external services using webhooks
  • Track previews now play in the background (instead of opening in a new page)
  • Edit groups for invoices with billable item source set to “custom”
  • Improved mobile experience
  • Miscellaneous other optimizations and bug fixes
